COSC began a new partnership with Notre Dame to host 3 interns this summer. The NDBridge is 8-week summer program where rising sophomores think hard about injustice, work with communities around the world that face it, and consider their responsibility to the common good while at Notre Dame and beyond.

COSC co-created research projects with our 3 interns to deepen our mission of people working together for a better community. Liam Sweeney (Neuroscience/Pre-Med) researched Family and Peer Support Specialist certification for the State of Colorado, and added this to our curriculum for our 2 cohort of peer support apprenticeship that begins in August.

Thomas Schmiedeler (Finance) researched credit unions to determine the feasibility of creating a Five Points Credit union.  He met with the Financial Services Commissioner and created a presentation that COSC will use with community to build support to open a new credit union in Colorado which has not been done in 15 years.

Alyssa Sirichoktanasup (Business Analytics/Journalism) researched and evaluated COSC's data systems to make changes to our system and also create a data process visualization for our staff so that our data works for them to help others.  Alyssa also launched a video storytelling project at COSC to tell the stories of Pastor Robert Woolfolk and Mrs. Eddie Mae Woolfolk.
